NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

THE TOWN OF ST. LEO TOWN COMMISSION WILL CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING ON A PROPOSED ORDINANCE PURSUANT TO SECTION 171.044, FLORIDA STATUTES, PROPOSING VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION TO THE TOWN OF ST. LEO OF AN APPROXIMATELY 58.84 ACRE PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF STATE ROAD 52, WEST OF SMITH ROAD, AND EAST OF LAKE RAY DRIVE AND AN APPROXIMATELY 0.50 ACRE PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF STATE ROAD 52, SOUTH OF ROTH LANE, AND EAST OF LAKE RAY DRIVE AND TO AMEND ARTICLE II, SECTION 2.01 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE TOWN OF ST. LEO, FLORIDA TO INCORPORATE THE SUBJECT PROPERTIES INTO THE DESCRIPTION OF THE CORPORATE LIMITS; PROVIDING FINDINGS OF FACT; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

 

Public Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Section 171.044, Florida Statutes, there will be a Town Commission public hearing at 7 PM on Monday, February 14, 2023, at the Saint Leo University Boardrooms in the Student Community Center, 33701 State Road 52, Saint Leo, FL 33574.  The Town of St. Leo Town Commission will consider the above-mentioned item at 7 PM, or as soon thereafter as the same may be heard.  This agenda item will follow quasi-judicial procedure.  It is considered as improper for an applicant or objector to discuss a case prior to the hearing with any Commission Member.  The details of the proposed ordinance are available for inspection at the Office of the Town Administrator, Monday through Friday, during the hours of 8 AM to 4 PM.  Please direct your remarks to the Town Administrator in writing and those documents will be presented to the Commission.  In accordance with Florida Statutes, Chapter 286.0105, if a person decides to appeal any decision made by a governmental board, commission or agency, they will need a record of the proceedings.  It is up to the potentially adversely affected citizen to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, including testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. Any persons who may need such record may arrange for a court reporter to attend the public hearing.
