Proclamation of Appreciation Honoring Mary Cabot

 

WHEREAS, litter can have an immediate and long-lasting impact on the community in that it degrades the environment, reduces property values, discourages growth and tourism, and negatively effects the visual aesthetic of our neighborhoods; and

WHEREAS, St. Leo’s hills, wooded areas, Lake Jovita, and open spaces are becoming unique as a result of development; and

WHEREAS, the St. Leo community and natural environment benefit from the removal of roadside litter; and

WHEREAS, all are strongly encouraged to take pride in their surroundings and contribute to the well-being of themselves and others; and

WHEREAS, Mary Cabot gives generously of her time and energy to preserve the character and quality of life in St. Leo through her beautification efforts; and

WHEREAS, the Town Commission recognizes the years of service and positive impact Mary Cabot has had on St. Leo resulting from her exemplary efforts.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Commission of the Town of St. Leo, Florida, hereby expresses deep appreciation for the beautification efforts of Mary Cabot, and on behalf of residents and the community of St. Leo we extend our gratitude and declare that Mary is an exemplary resident and we are proud to serve as Commissioners in her hometown.

Duly proclaimed and adopted the 11th day of July, 2022.
