02/14/23 Workshop and Commission Meeting

The Town Center Concept Plan that the Town Commission voted to create will be presented at a workshop on Tuesday, February 14. As the project is of interest to the whole St. Leo Community, the workshop will be held in the boardroom of our friends at Saint Leo University to ensure ample space and parking are available. The Concept Plan will be presented to the Commission and Community at the workshop. At the following Town Commission Meeting, Commissioners will have the opportunity to approve it.

The creation of a Town Center would not be possible without Penny for Pasco funds. Penny for Pasco was recently renewed by voters thanks in part to the Pasco Citizens Committee, which is disbanding. At the Commission meeting, we will be passing a Proclamation thanking them for all they’ve done for the Town and Pasco County, its schools, and municipalities.

Voluntary annexation of land owned by our neighbors at First Baptist Church will also be on the agenda.

Coffee with the Mayor

Head to Benedict’s Coffeehouse at Saint Leo University on February 14 from 12 PM to

2 PM to have a free cup of coffee with the Mayor. It is a great opportunity to meet

Mayor D’Ambrosio and talk about Town business.

Qualifying Period

Two Commission seats will be open. The term of office is two years. Registered voters who reside within the Town of St. Leo municipal boundary may qualify as candidates.

Blood Drive

On February 24^th the Town of St. Leo will be hosting a blood drive

in cooperation with One Blood and their Big Red Bus!

The bus will be at the Town Hall from 11 AM to 1 PM.

Sign up online at https://www.oneblood.org/ and clicking “Donate” or call Town Hall.

One pint of blood can save up to three lives.

Community Booth

The Town of St. Leo will have a booth at this year’s Pasco County Fair. The fair theme this year is “Something to Crow About.” The booth will be in the Schrader building. The fair runs February 20^th to February 26^th. Make sure to check it out!

Saint Leo Abbey Announcements

Saint Leo Abbey will be celebrating Ash Wednesday Mass

on February 22^nd at 12 PM. Ashes will be distributed

from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM in the Abbey Church.

On Sunday January 29^th Saint Leo Abbey celebrated the 75^th anniversary

 of the consecration of the Saint Leo Abbey Church.
