Road Updates

Christmas Drive – Construction is planned for the beginning of 2022. The water cleaning device that will be installed in the manhole must be received before construction starts.

As discussed at the 12/16/21 Neighborhood Meeting, construction will impact surrounding property owners as minimally as possible. Adjacent private property will be restored

upon completion if affected. Plans are still available at Town Hall and anyone with further questions is advised to contact the Clerk’s office

for assistance or speak to the contractors if they are on-site.

Pompanic Street – The project was put out to bid a second time. Bids were again rejected because they did not meet the criteria;

a new amended bid package will be prepared and distributed. This is a joint project with San Antonio.

Street Lighting – The Town Commission is considering the installation of decorative street lights. A TECO representative spoke to the Commission

at the 12/13/21 Commission Meeting; the topic will be discussed again at the 01/10/22 Commission Meeting.

Well Testing

Residential well testing will resume as soon as possible. We will call the residents in the areas where testing will be done prior to the day of testing.

Please make sure your well is accessible and trim any vegetation that would limit access. Testing will typically occur between 9 AM and 12 PM.

Christmas Tree Recycling

Every year the Pasco County Recycling Department, Parks and Recreation, and some private businesses partner to offer Christmas tree recycling drop offs to Pasco citizens.

The trees are chipped and used in parks to mulch trails and in planting beds. Please visit participating Pasco Parks to drop off your holiday tree through January 11, 2022.

For more information,  call the Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources Department at (813) 929-2760.
