Tree Removal and Pompanic Road Closure

As a continued part of the Town of St. Leo and the City of San Antonio improvements to Pompanic Street, trees will need to be removed on both sides of the road between Michigan Avenue and Jesse Jones Street. Temporary road closures will continue.

News from Saint Leo Abbey

On January the 29th Saint Leo Abbey will be celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Consecration of the Abbey Church. Solemn Mass will be celebrated in the Abbey Church at 10 AM, and will be presided over by Bishop Elias Lorenzo, O.S.B. All are welcome to attend!

Another Christmas Tradition!

The Benedictine Sisters of Florida put out luminaries again this year on Christmas Eve. Donors and Sisters honored their loved ones by having a luminary lit with their loved one’s name on the bag. It looks like this with be a continuing tradition for Christmas, so please keep the luminary dedication in mind next season.

Two Commission seats will be open. The term of office is two years. Registered voters who reside withing the Town of St. Leo municipal boundary may qualify as candidates. Please contact Andrea at Town Hall for more information.

Christmas Tree Recycling

Unfortunately, because of Covid-19 the Pasco County Department of Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources has not set up the Christmas Tree Recycling Program for this year. To dispose of your Christmas tree please take it to one of the two Pasco County Solid Waste landfill locations.

Poinsettia Foil

Instead of throwing out the foil that you get with Poinsettias, please bring it by Town Hall (or we will pick it up) so we can reuse it! We are planning to do another unique display for the Town’s Pasco County Fair Community Booth and it would be much appreciated if we could have your foil.

Public Records Exemption

Residents who legally qualify for public records exemption must submit a “written and notarized request directly to this agency to maintain the exemption to the records in our custody.” § 119.071(4)(d)3., F.S. If you qualify or have any questions, please call Andrea at Town Hall as soon as possible.
